The tea tree and the black and green tea you drink (chai Patti) are not the same. The tea tree is native to the Australian continent and has been used in folk medicine for the treatment of skin diseases. Thanks to its inherent antibacterial and anti-allergic properties, you can use tea tree oil for acne, boils, and other skin infections. Its antiseptic properties also help fight infections of the mouth, throat, and ears.
Tea tree oil is usually combined with lemon, lavender, and aloe Vera, witch hazel, and carrier oils such as coconut, olive, and almond to create a variety of beauty remedies for the skin.
